🍲Bon Shabu in Koreatown, Los Angeles is taking all-you-can-eat shabu shabu to another level with unlimited Wagyu, premium meats, seafood, veggies, noodles, and more.
For this restaurant review, we went straight for the Wagyu and tried four different cuts:
🥩 Wagyu Brisket
🥩 Wagyu Chuck Roll
🥩 Wagyu Short Plate
🥩 Prime Beef Belly
The Wagyu was sliced paper-thin and cooked in seconds, turning incredibly tender with rich, beefy flavor. The Wagyu Short Plate was especially satisfying with its beautiful marbling and melt-in-your-mouth texture, while the Prime Beef Belly brought even more richness.
We chose two broths so we could switch up the flavors throughout the meal. 🍲
The Organic Beef Bone broth is made with three different beef-bone cuts that are simmered for a long period of time, creating a rich and savory base that really lets the flavor of the Wagyu come through.
The Sukiyaki broth went in a completely different direction with Japanese-style soy sauce, beef, ginger, garlic, and onion. It was slightly sweeter and packed with savory flavor, making it especially good with the fattier cuts.
Beyond the meat, there’s a huge self-serve selection of fresh vegetables, noodles, seafood, dumplings, sauces, sides, and desserts, so you can customize every round of your hot pot. Bon Shabu currently offers its Wagyu shabu experience as all-you-can-eat, which makes it easy to go back and find your favorite cut. 🔥🥩
